Knife topology tool: Fox FV721 Modelling Challenge (Step 6:Turret and rear guards Part B))

Image
In this step, there has been an improvement on all parts of the mudguard. That was a way sancilla modeling. At the same bevel was added and some bugs have been fixed. To do this, we have made extensive use of knife topology tool . Thus achieving a flawless clean topology in the mesh. Added some parts. As the doors or hatch of the turret. And the barrel. But the larger work, consisted of the refinement of the mesh. Thus subsuft can be employed without being deformed smooth the contours superfeccies with good bevel.

Fox FV721 Modelling Challenge (Step 5:Turret and rear guards)

Image
In this step I made the turret and rear guards FV721. It is completely safe hinges and side doors. And corrected the lower turret structure. Depending on the surrounding parts. One observation. Lso in the mud guard. No Subsuft applied. Therefore are faceted parts. But modeling is complex and I have not created all required bevels.

Fox FV721 Modelling Challenge (Step 4: Barge and side doors).

Image
The modeling of the barge is somewhat complex. Since it is a party that has many hidden areas and therefore should be deducted as a function of the other pieces. The easiest way is to conduct a preliminary study of how low resolution. Thus is achieved the volume and proportions of the barge. Having defined the form. We proceed to the high resolution modeling using bevels as possible from 4 to 5 vertices. Since in this case are shaped steel plates that are too thick. Through this we have a smooth surface with well defined bevel, and thus save us a lot of work when creating UV maps. . Podemos proced...

Fox FV721 Modelling Challenge (Step 3: tire and wheel)

Image
Having set the tire and wheel proceed to integrate and scale to that under which we are using Blueprint. We should note that each wheel must be slightly different for it just a bit and rotate it enough. When making the textures as customize each. The next step is to model the barge Fox FV721 and thus have the basis of distentas pieces that will form the vehicle. By modeling these parts must strike a balance between form and the number of polygons that we will use. More polygons will give us more details. But will make the model grows up way too and if we have no control and our team is of limited resources. Well you can not complete the project. Be very much the way we organize the information for the project. In my case I always believe a structure for files like this: Project Name: FV721FOX -> Images: Here you save the progress of the render. -> References: Photos, drawings, logos, books (pdf) and so on. the project. -> Textures: The textures and UV m...

Fox FV721 Modelling Challenge (Step 2: Rim) Video

Image
Modeling a wheel is a task if you want something complex depending on the model of the same in the case of Fox FV721 is a very simple solid wheel and therefore will not be difficult to manufacture. This video shows the basic steps for modeling. With the understanding that the method I use is only indicative and other forms of abordad this modeling.

Material for a nut (Cycles)

Image
Hi all. Today I bring the complement of video tutorial that was published yesterday. In this case it is a single nut. with upper and lower burr. (It has shaped the internal thread). Since my goal is to show how you can configure a metallic material with good textures. For modeling use a mirro in the Z axis as both the bottom and bottom are equal. I did not pay your UV map. Since it is a very simple object. And for that use the coordinates of the camera. Escoji a texture of a galvanized sheet for color and the displacement of the texture. Lighting is a Siple Spot an area and a HDRI in the world. The result obtained is very good and has a great controversy in the number of cértices and form of the element. the screw head is identical except that it eliminates the central hole and with a displacement map labels can be placed or wear.

Model a single nut with Blender (Video Tutorial)

Image
In this video I show a simple way to make a nut or a screw head. With just a few modifications. The advantage of this method is that we can control the Number, of vertices that are desired. In this example, edges are subdivided into two but can be 3, 4, or more, and so achieves a higher quality finish. Edit: Thanks to Bart Blendernation, having made known to the community this tutorial . Thank you very much. http://www.blendernation.com/2012/08/08/videotutorial-model-a-single-nut-with-blender/#more-29367

Fox FV721 modeling challenge (step 1:tire)

Image
This project consists in a step by step armored reconnaissance vehicle. But with the show in summary form the production of all parts of the model as well as materials, textures and UV maps. I do not intend to make this show the best of things, but if my way of resolving the various issues, which involves a project of this nature. I hope it is useful to all and fill that void a bit there in the modeling of this type of object especially Spanish speakers.
